Friends, I want to appeal to you to join with others in the Woolsey faith family for World Focus Week which begins Wednesday evening. There are many reasons to fully engage this week but consider this one. 3 billion (let that number sink in; that’s 3 and nine zeros) are unreached. Of the many ways we may try to understand “unreached”, think of being born in a land where you lived your whole life having never heard that Jesus died for your sins, that He was buried and rose again on the third day and that any and all who come to Him in repentance and faith can and will be saved. What if you had no family member, no neighbor, no friend, no co-worker, no gospel preaching church anywhere nearby to tell you the good news that you could know forgiveness of all sin? Consider living and dying without ever hearing about Jesus. I just described 40% of the world. No believer would suggest that 40% of the world living and dying without hearing the gospel is acceptable unless . . .unless we get so busy and so distracted that we lose focus of the facts.
To that end, World Focus Week provides an opportunity to adjust our vision so that we may see with fresh eyes the words of Jesus when He said, Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. (Mark 16:15) Join us, want you, beginning Wednesday evening?
