Chuck has been serving as pastor at Woolsey since 1987, that’s 32 years! He and his wife Lisa have three adult children, David, Steven and Kari, and seven, soon to be eight, grandchildren. Chuck graduated from Columbia International University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and holds a Doctor of Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Chuck enjoys hunting, cycling, reading and any chance he gets to take someone to Chick-fil-A.
Chuck’s responsibilities consist of overall leadership and regular preaching.
Matt is originally from upstate South Carolina and became a pastor at Woolsey in 2012. He has earned degrees from Anderson University and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He met his wife, Kari, while serving at Woolsey and they had their first child, Micah, in March 2019. Matt enjoys being outdoors as well as sports, music, reading and traveling.
Matt leads the music and senior adult ministries at Woolsey and oversees international missions.
Josh grew up across the US and around the world as a pastor’s son and international missionary kid. He graduated from Liberty University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and worked in landscaping and camp ministry before coming to Woolsey as a pastor in 2017. Josh and his wife Anna Kelley have two young daughters, Clara Rae and Elise. He enjoys slow days at home, exploring the outdoors, good coffee, sci-fi movies and any kind of yard game.
Josh leads the student ministry at Woolsey, manages guest services and assists with digital media and creative design.
Steven has been involved in the life of Woolsey since childhood. After completing degrees at Bryan College and Southern Seminary, Steven came on staff at the church. In 2013, he and his family served with the International Mission Board and they returned to Woolsey in 2014, accepting the role of pastor. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Southeastern Seminary. Steven and his wife Christy have four young children, Andrew, Lizzy, Abby and Lydia. He enjoys spending quality time with his family, coaching youth sports, reading and running.
Steven oversees the discipleship, outreach and children’s ministries at Woolsey, in addition to several executive responsibilities.
Deryl and his wife Brenda have been members of Woolsey since 1999. Deryl grew up in Lake Wales, Florida, earned a degree from Clemson University and is now a retired project engineer from Avery Dennison. He has served as a pastor at Woolsey since 2016. He and Brenda have two adult daughters, Shawn and Heather and three grandchildren. Deryl enjoys spending time with his family, working on home projects and building relationships through the ministries at Woolsey.
Deryl helps to shepherd through prayer, wisdom and teaching. He also serves as a pastoral liaison to several church committees.
Greg and his family came to Woolsey in 2004 after relocating from Western New York. He has worked for over 35 years in the forest product and chemical industries, including involvement in some international business. Greg served as a deacon before becoming a pastor in 2016. He and his wife Michelle have two adult daughters, Sarah and Jessica. Greg enjoys listening to jazz and classical music, spending time outdoors with his dogs and miniature horses and following world news.
Greg helps to shepherd through prayer, wisdom and teaching. He also serves as a pastoral liaison on several church committees.
Ron came to Woolsey in 2016 after moving from Columbus, GA. He and his wife Rebecca have 4 adult children, Sarah, Ryan, Suzie and Ben, and 6 grandchildren. Ron has worked for over 30 years in the funeral and insurance industry, currently helping families to understand their options before and after a loss. Ron enjoys reading, hunting, fishing and time with his family, as well as the occasional funeral pun.
Ron helps to shepherd through prayer, wisdom and teaching. He also serves as a Sunday School teacher and leader in Senior Adult Ministry.
Elizabeth oversees the church office, serves as a pastoral assistant and manages Woolsey’s communication and media outlets.
Sherrilon maintains the church’s finances and membership records and assists with various office tasks.
