What do we value?

The student ministry at Woolsey Baptist Church exists to equip students (6th – 12th grades) to be authentic and influential followers of Jesus. Our core values are LOVE (seeking the good of others), FRIENDSHIP (being welcoming and kind to everyone), HONESTY (being real and transparent with each other), PURITY (acting as examples to others) and HUMOR (laughing with, never at, one another), as defined by God’s Word, which we seek to promote, model and see realized in the lives of our students.

What do we do and when do we meet?

Our core strategy involves BIBLE-BASED TEACHING (showing students how to love God’s Word and live gospel-centered lives), RELATIONAL DEPTH (fostering student-mentor relationships and unified friendships among peers), PARTNERING WITH PARENTS (resourcing parents as the primary influencers of their children), REAL-LIFE APPLICATION (engaging students with culture-shaping experiences) and CHURCH INVOLVEMENT (challenging students to be servant leaders within the church). We seek to use multiple strategies every time that we meet, always creating a safe, fun-loving environment where students can grow as followers of Christ and lead others to do the same.

In addition to various special events, we meet every Sunday at 9:30 am for Bible study and every Wednesday from 6:30-8:00 pm for THRIVE, which includes games, worship and discipleship groups. Come and join us!
